Capital Access Manager, WEPOWER

Edgar is the Capital Access Manager (CAM) for the WEPOWER Kiva Hub. As the CAM, he is responsible for creating an ecosystem that supports and refers entrepreneurs to the Kiva platform while also supporting borrowers through the application and fundraising process. Kiva is a crowdlending platform that offers 0% interest loans of up to 15k. In less than a year, he's supported multiple campaigns and helped borrowers collectively raise over 50k.

He's been with the WEPOWER team since 2019 and was a critical piece in launching the inaugural Elevate/Elevar Accelerator in 2020. Through his leadership, more than 300 Black and Latinx entrepreneurs were engaged between the first and second selection cycle, translating into over 100 applications and ultimately 1k+  community members who voted to help determine which finalists were selected into the cohort.

Julian Wyatt is Urban Strategies’ CDFI Manager. In his role he supports equity-focused, placed-based financial initiatives that work to build healthy urban communities and promote sustainable development. As Urban Strategies’ CDFI Manager, Julian guides the USI CDFI’s growth, oversees fund development, builds relationships with clients and funders, and upholds and embraces USI’s core values. Committed to creating strategies to help close the racial wealth gap, Julian’s goal is to propel Black, Brown, and Indigenous entrepreneurs to prosperity and economic liberation through the creation of middle income and wealth generating jobs and businesses. Julian has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, cum laude, from Morehouse College and a master’s in Development Practice from Emory University.

Her career has spanned over 25 years. Prior to establishing her private practice in 2005, Dr. Sierra worked in hospitals, universities, schools, and agencies providing a variety of services including therapy, workshops, public speaking, university teaching and outreach consulting.
